Let's get this topic going again...
Currently I am listening to 'Metal Box' by Public Image Limited, and it's a bit of all right.
'Graveyard' is my favourite track at the moment.

'Metal Box' certainly is a treat Paolo. A highly influencial album on a lot of artists since.... Now, I hate to put a negative slant on things, but I heard Primal Scream's latest offering the other day.......pish pish pish. can't believe i've paid £20 odd to see them, and they have regressed 11 years! What happened to their bite and noise? Bland Rolling Stones copyists again.

I wouldnt say that PIL were the slightest bit influential in comparison to the Sex Pistols.

True, but that's not the issue is it, Mr. Random Battle Generator? The point is that PIL are far superior to Sex Pistols musically.

i am currently into 80's synthers Japan...
Quiet Life is a very good album, although theres a stinkingly bad cover of a Schmelvet Underground song which has no need to be there.
just ordered 'Floating Through The Night' by Julee Cruise off Amazon. She's the weird club singer off Twin Peaks.
Just listened to a techno album called ESCM by a guy called BT.If someone recommends it to you, slap them heartily. It sounds a bit like if someone taught Ryan O'Neill how to use Cubase and a keyboard.
yo Fafter Paah,do you still need to borrow some vinyl for the Vinega Sessions?

I recently bought This Mortal Coil's 'Blood'....pretty much 50/50. Some tracks are pretty good, sad sounding songs with teary eyed Cellos & other stringed instruments. the rest are a bit shitty. theres on song called 'baby ray baby' which consists of a young child going 'goo goo, ga ga' for a 2 mins....then they just randomly stick on 20 seconds of 'halleluhwah' at the end.
i also got 'Join hands' by Siouxsie and the Banshees. apart from a 12 min version of the lords prayer, most of it i think is gonna be a grower.

Fact of the day: The person playing the guitar on the Big Star cover, 'You And Your Sister' from Blood is none other than former Muses guitarist Tanya Donelly. I prefer 'It'll All End In Tears' by This Mortal Coil. That's pretty braille.

coming from you Joe, it has to be braille.

Friends, Romans and Jews, i do not break my lengthy silence without due cause, indeed if this doenst provoke some forum activity then nothing again ever shall, even if that said activity is merely the smug gloating of those whom feel they are warranted such smug gloatations.
Anyway, badly written and even worsely read Dickens-ianness aside, ill get down to business, theres no easy way to tell you all this, but recently, as recently as this very second which i use to type, i have been listening to, and i daresay immesnely enjoying the music of a well known and loved British band called Radiohead. Yes, i recently dusted of my copy of The Bends which inspired me to seek out OK Computer and i am liking.
Feel at liberty to serve me genorous helpings of proverbial shit which i may eat, it still tastes sweet. AND i am happy to offer the window of sunlight illuminating your dark days as you smile knowingly in a haze of i told you so's. For now.
